Best place to buy your robot lawn mower

What to buy
Verbal recommendations are always good, so if you have a neighbour or friend who lives locally (in the same micro-climate) and has a similar
lawn to yourself then their experiences and recommendations for robot mowers should carry a lot of weight.
If this is your first robo mower purchase, you are best not spending top-end money yet, aim for a good mid-range mower with decent reviews.
If you're still not sure then our robot mower recommender can make suggestions for the mowers that best suit your needs.
What not to buy
Your robot mower will usually come with everything needed to set it up and get going. Your initial period with the mower will be a learning window, see our article on what you should do during this time. Unless you are experienced with that brand of robot mower, or know for sure you need them, we would suggest holding off buying any optional accessories until you have been through your first month with the mower. After that you will be much better placed to know if you need a larger battery, or different wheels, or an upgraded anti-collision-system, or wifi-range-extender, etc, etc.
Where to buy
Many physical retail stores are starting to carry robo-mowers but they often have limited brands and ranges, so we recommend shopping online
to benefit from the widest choice, the best prices and getting it delivered to your door.
All of the usual big online retailers, amazon, ebay, etc will sell you a robot mower, manufacturer websites are also worth checking for special discount
offers. We try to catch any offers on our offers page so it's always worth checking. Specialist sites are also a good source of special offers.
